History

*****************
Sometimes in June 1967 people of Barangay Bambad experienced difficulty in sending their children to private school to pursue their secondary education due to inaccessibility of transportation. Confronted with this problem and having felt the dire need of a high school in the community, the people through the initiative of the PTA officials Datu Ali Mama, and Florencio Buendicho, initiated a joint PTA and Barangay Resolution properly endorsed by the Officer- In- Charge Barangay Captain Reynaldo Bitoonon to the Municipal government of Isulan. The said resolution was favorably acted and likewise endorsed the same to the Schools Division Superintendent San Andres, until finally approved and granted permit to operate by the DECS authority.

In June 1967, Bambad Barrio High School officially opened with an enrolment of 47 first year students, equivalent to one section only. The class was attended by the full- time teachers Leonardo Lotilla, under the umbrella of the elementary whose principal was Buenvinida O. Buendicho
As enrolment continued to grow, two more full time teachers, Jose L. Barrios and Erlinda Banusing were added to the teaching force in 1968-69. Due to the concerted efforts of the parents and barangay officials, Bambad High School in its third year of operation in 1969-70 completed the enrolment up to fourth year that gave way to the coming in of another four teachers: Bernardito C. Bucani, Marietta Bucani, Edith Ethtrata and Lerma Brasales. The growing size of the enrolment and teachers necessitated the management for the assignment of a qualified school head and the late Bernadito C. Bucani was designated as the first school administrator in his capacity as head teacher until he passed away.

Eventually, Jose L. Barrios took over, being the head, he felt the pressing need of a permanent site to settle the high school. He presented the problem to the PTA officials of both Elementary and High School as well as to the Barrio Council. Kagawad Cornelio C. Estrellan, PTA President of the elementary and Kagawad Nestor Araula, PTA President Of High school encouraged the Barangay Captain Bernardo Elauria Sr. to convince Buenvinida O. Buendicho the principal to share a portion to the elementary site to the high school.

Thus, by virtue of Resolution No. 63, ISB : “A Resolution Transferring and Conveying by way of Donation to the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, a parcel of land at about 10,200 sq.m. located at Barrio Bambad purposely to be utilized as School Site for Bambad High School through the Municipal Mayor Loney C.Publico.”

Jose L.Barrios, after serving the Department for 16 years, he retired on May 1991. This school was administered by Rosalia E. Estrellan, Officer- In- Charge until she was assigned to administer Salabaca High School. Eduardo V. Europa assumed the administration and supervision of the school. When he transferred to Tacurong National High School, Rosalia E. Estrellan took over the administration of this school since 1991 to present. The school is manned by 33 item teachers with 1210 enrolment for SY: 2008-2009 with significant increase yearly. Bambad National High School is soaring high in curricular and co-curricular activities placing the school in the limelight of secondary schools of the Division of Sultan Kudarat and in Region XII.
